TK0598-D. Atlantic Sailfish (Istiophorus albicans), highly prized gamefish growing to at least 3 meters long and 60 kilograms in weight. Feeds on squid, crustaceans and various fish, including baitfish such as sardine and mackerel. Found from the surface to 200 meters deep. A migratory species, usually solitary or in small groups but sometimes aggregating with up to 30 or more other sailfish when feeding on baitfish. They are capable of amazing color changes, from solid black to silver, sometimes even showing electric blue banding. Gulf of Mexico, Mexico, Caribbean Sea.<br />
