TK0175-Dr. Atlantic Sailfish (Istiophorus albicans) feeding on Spanish sardines (Sardinella aurita). The fastest fish in the sea, the sailfish is also very maneuverable and, working together with others, herds the baitfish toward the surface. Then the sails take turns racing into the baitball, using their sharp bills like swords to slash at the sardines, knocking one out of the school and stunning it, after which the sailfish swallows the sardine whole. Gulf of Mexico, Mexico, Caribbean Sea.<br />
