TP0317-D. Sand Tiger Sharks (Carcharias taurus) inside the shipwreck of the Aeolus. Fearsome in appearance but not aggressive, sand tigers pose no threat to divers unless provoked. They can hover in midwater by using their stomach as a buoyancy compensator with air they have gulped air at surface. They feed on bony fishes, sharks and rays, crustaceans, and squid. Dozens aggregate around shipwrecks in the Graveyard of the Atlantic offshore North Carolina, USA, Atlantic Ocean.<br />
