TP0351-Dv. Sand Tiger Shark (Carcharias taurus) swimming inside the wreckage of the sunken ship Aeolus, a 409-foot long tanker sunk on purpose in 1988 to create an artificial reef. Found singly and in aggregations from 1 to 200m deep, often in caves and near shipwrecks, a member of family Ondontaspididae, grows to 3.2 meters in length, distributed in western and eastern Atlantic Oceans, western Indian Ocean, and western Pacific Ocean. North Carolina, USA, Atlantic Ocean. Cropped to vertical from native horizontal format.<br />
