TC0330-D. Blue Whale (Balaenoptera musculus) underwater, now an endangered species because of intensive hunting by whalers. Calves born about 23 feet long, grow quickly drinking 100 gallons of milk per day. Adults 80 to 100 feet long, females slightly larger than males. Feeding dives usually last 5-20 minutes, usually breathes at surface for 2-6 minutes between dives. Bushy spout can be 30 feet tall. Pacific Ocean.<br />
