TR4255-D. Brown Tube Sponges (Agelas conifera) and purple Row Pore Rope Sponge (Aplysina cauliformis) proliferate along a wall at 75 feet deep, scuba diver (model released) in background. Sponges are often brightly colored and come in a wide variety of shapes. They are filter feeders, drawing seawater (containing microscopic plankton on which they feed) through their pores.
